Responsibilities
Medicare Sales Representatives sell individual health plan products and services in a field setting. The Medicare Sales Representative work assignments involve moderately complex-to-complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Humana is seeking highly motivated and self-starting individuals to sell our Humana Medicare Advantage Plans including other insurance plans like Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription and more. In this field position, you will; cultivate, maintain and build relationships with Humana’s customers, external business partners and the community we serve through telesales, group presentations, in home visits and more.
We will provide the training, pay for you to sit for the Health & Life insurance licensing exams including the AHIP certification, and provide in market training.
Role Requirements
High School Diploma
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
High level of self-motivation
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to successfully navigate mobile applications
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Must reside in the local territory
In this role you will be selling Medicare products to Veterans and Military families; therefore, you are required to be a Military Member, Veteran, or Military Spouse
Role Preferences
Bachelor’s Degree
Previous internship and/or work experience in the insurance industry
Strong interest in the Healthcare industry with a passion for helping others
Engaged with your community through service, organizations, activities and volunteerism
Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in both English and an additional language without limitations or assistance

Additional information:
Upon completion of our training program you must be able to complete and pass the AHIP certification (paid for by Humana)
Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
