Manage a standard compensation/incentive/persistency program while supporting the team environment with various administrative functions associated with calculation, payment, accounting and taking calls. Utilize the appropriate systems and apply contract provisions, regulations and corporate guidelines to facilitate calculation, payment and accounting.
This job posting is reflective of the Distribution Sales Compensation Analyst essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements. The Sales Compensation Analyst II, III, and IV levels have variable essential functions, qualifications and physical requirements. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage assigned standard calculation processes for compensation, production measures, incentives, persistency, subsequent payment, reporting process and controls to ensure accurate and timely information and payment is released to distribution network. Follow administrative procedures to ensure that terms and provisions of the contract and corporate guidelines are met.
Provide excellent customer service and service recovery to include handling complaint/error situations that result in customer satisfaction. Meet expectations with accurate, complete and timely service. Foster effective business relationships with producers and their management. Receive incoming inquiries, analyze and refer to appropriate areas when necessary. Explain contractual provisions, federal laws, state regulations and corporate guidelines.
Basic understanding of compensation related data and the resources available to efficiently process assigned tasks. Supports the team environment with various administrative and project functions associated with the compensation/incentive/persistency function.
Process compensation/incentive/persistency information, and analyze and secure the necessary data required to execute the contract or program guidelines. Utilize the appropriate systems, apply contract provisions, regulations and corporate guidelines to facilitate the calculation, subsequent payment, accounting and control process.
Analyze compensation/incentive/persistency results to ensure compliance with contract terms and provisions, federal, state and corporate guidelines. Communicate with team specialist or supervisor on any non-compliance with contract terms and provisions or guidelines. Work with team and IS to determine and initiate appropriate resolution to non-compliance. Authority to approve compensation/incentive/persistency adjustments within the standard limits.
Stays abreast of state and federal laws and regulations and current with corporate compliance guidelines to ensure consistent application and uniformity in the department's procedures and practices. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of distributions compensation contract terms and provisions, corporate compensation guidelines, regulations, and business trends in the insurance and service industries.
Implement the required administrative activities related to compensation, incentive and persistency resulting from changes to contractual agreements, sales hierarchies, compensation/incentive/persistency arrangements and revisions to Company administrative policies and procedures.
