POSITION PROFILE:
The Intern position is responsible for the hospitality, aesthetic and experience of the Knoll New York Showroom. This role requires an enthusiastic, proactive individual, an outstanding communicator with the ability to deliver incredible customer service, organization, collaboration, attention to detail and flexibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Showroom:
Greet clients and connect them with the appropriate Knoll associate in a timely manner
Answer phone calls and direct to appropriate Knoll Associate or department
Manage master showroom meeting and event calendar.
Coordinate meeting scheduling and arrangements including catering set-up and clean-up and technology set-up.
Maintain showroom aesthetic which includes: moving furniture, removing debris/garbage/dishes, coordinating custodial and maintenance services.
Respond and direct telephone and email inquiries.
Assist in the maintenance of give-away inventory.
Accept and distribute UPS, USPS, interoffice and small packages both incoming and outgoing
Sales Support:
Listen to and promptly act to resolve client issues and requests.
Provide sales support as needed including walk-in traffic to showroom, general questions, or sampling requests.
Inventory, order and keep Knoll finish samples and literature organized for showroom’s use.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail deliveries.
Other responsibilities as requested by the Regional Director or Showroom Manager.
Required Skills

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Ability to interact effectively with internal teams and clients.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter, able to work in a team as well as independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In-Design is not required, but preferred.
Required Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
