Reporting to the Vice President of International Sales, the International Business Development executive is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to achieve HawkEye's revenue targets for international defense, intelligence and global commercial markets. Execution includes personally developing new customer accounts, qualifying opportunities, driving account growth, and assisting in the closing sales opportunities. This position is based in Herndon, Virginia with flexibility for other locations globally. English fluency required.
As the Director, International Business Development, your main responsibilities will be:
Develop and manage the business development pipeline to achieve corporate revenue objectives.
Identify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant, long term business opportunities.
Gain insight into and understanding of customer budget and program acquisition processes, key stakeholders, internal and external influencers for relevant RF programs.
Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges to deliver and win compelling, high-impact solutions.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Build and execute account plans that drive sustainable business growth in key markets.
Grow international business partner relationships to drive business growth.
Assist the sales team in winning qualified opportunities and the bookings forecasting process to ensure accuracy of business results.
Monitor competitor sales, product & marketing activities for situational awareness.
Provide product and market feedback to shape product development, engineering and operational support to international programs.
Represent the company at conferences, trade association meetings, and other activities as necessary, to promote the company and our products.
Work collaboratively across company functions including finance, legal, engineering and product to deliver targeted results.
Prepare top quality bids, proposals, RFI and other tender responses in support of sales team and financial objectives.
Reinforce by example the company's commitment to its values, including its compliance program and code of ethics.
Your skills and qualifications:
Education and experience:
5 years of business development and/or sales experience selling technology, data and analytics solutions into non-US defense, intelligence and global commercial markets.
Experience in government contracting and acquisition mechanisms in all territories, including understanding of applicable procurement law and regulation.
Experience establishing and managing sales channels and strategic partnerships.
Experience with data analytics trends to position HE360 RF based analytics products and services in international markets.
Experience building & maintaining sales presentations & reports in Microsoft Office
Essential:
Effective communications skills with all levels of prospective customers to include executive-level or General Officer equivalent, financial, technical, budget and programmatic and user audiences.
Basic understanding of RF technologies, data, and potential applications in government and commercial markets.
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to customer problems.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results.
Desirable:
Relevant military or intelligence experience a plus.
Experience selling products and services for defense and intelligence industry, remote sensing and/or space related companies
Remote Sensing, GIS, GEOINT, SIGINT, and ELINT technical and operations understanding.
Understanding how to prospect, search and sell across defense, intelligence and commercial markets.
