It helps our customers to thrive, communities to progress and supports sustainable development.nJoin our Smart Infrastructure Regional Services and Solutions as the Fire Estimation and Pre-Sales Engineer and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.nYour Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented!nSiemens Smart Infrastructure (SI RSS QA) is looking for an experienced Estimation and Pre-Sales Engineer on Fire Systems to join the team.nReporting to the Head of Estimations, you will be responsible for:nnAnalyze tender requirements and define the most suitable solution (product, architecture, system) to be used according to the requirements.nDesign and engineer the solution down to detail to satisfy the specified project requirementsnComply with Siemens Bid Approval process including risk evaluation to the satisfaction of the internal and external stakeholdersnAnalyze customers' requirements and project backgrounds in order to better judge on aspects of products and solutions to be used.nLiaise with Sales Managers to ensures Bid success (commercial, time, quality) and conversion to Customer OrdersnDrive the development of technical standards and procedures. Propose optimizations and improvements of Fire Solutions.nPromote Siemens Fire Products and SolutionsnLead technical discussions on Fire Solutions with Customers and ConsultantsnClarify technical topics and liaise with Regional Technical Support and Factory Representatives as necessarynEnsure Smooth handover of Projects to Execution TeamnMeet tender submission deadlines and requirementsnMaintain the QCD Approvals of Siemens Fire materials up to datennYour Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid!nnHolder of a valid QCDD certificatenFull command of all Fire Standards and Codes QCDD, NFPA, EN54, BS5839 and BS6266.nExperience of medium to large scale Fire Alarm, knowledge of Voice Alarm, Graphics, Cause and Effect matrix, Do logic gate programming, VESDA,nGood knowledge of Fire system Integration to 3rd party systems (Smoke mgmt., elevator, generator, lighting control, HVAC. BMS via BACnet)nCapable to design voice evacuation & fire telephone systemsnFamiliar with Fire Suppression system design (FM200/Novec), and integration with main Fire Alarm panelnFamiliar with Firefighting system design (Pumps, Zone control valves, flow switches, etc.) and integration with main Fire Alarm panelnGood Knowledge of IP networking relevant to Fire Systems and network securitynHighly motivated self-starter, capable of adapting to new and emerging technologies and productsnHave successful track record of estimations of complex Fire Safety SystemsnGood knowledge of the Fire Safety market in QatarnSelf-motivated flexible individual with the ability to work well within a dynamic environmentnProven communication, public speaking and presentation skillsnExcellent methodical organizational and documentation skillsnGood team-worker, able to collaborate within a diverse team.nKnowledge of Siemens Fire portfolio is preferablennWhat else do you need to know?nAs a world leader in developing and producing the most advanced engineering technologies, we improve lives and further human achievements worldwide, while also protecting the climate - all thanks to our employees.
