We are looking for a energetic and driven Sales Manager to join our team at the Hyatt Centric- Arlington Hotel. The Sales Manager is responsible for generating group room and meeting revenue by utilizing existing accounts and developing new business within a assigned territory through aggressive prospecting, direct sales calls and strategic partnerships. The essential functions of the role are but not limited to:nSells 100% of the time.nMaintains appropriate balance of account maintenance and prospecting for new business.nEstablishes and maintains effective and profitable relationships with customers.nResponsible for achieving both assigned market room night/revenue budget along with the top-line revenue goals for the hotel.nAssists Director of Sales & Marketing with hotel-specific goals/strategies in assigned territory to positively impact revenues.nFamiliar with hotel’s competitive set and shared accounts.nGenerates data, analyzes, and recommends strategies and actions within assigned territory to impact business.nCommunicates a clear sense of strategic direction and goals for assigned territories/markets.nIncorporates marketing strategies into sales strategies, where appropriate.nCommunicates trends, changes in market mix and competitive hotel stratagem to Director of Sales & Marketing.nOrganizes and conducts sales trips and attends assigned market specific tradeshows, as assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing.nWork with Global Sales Team to communicate needs of the hotel, as appropriate.nKeeps up on industry trends and seeks creative ways to infiltrate markets/accounts.nJoins and attends appropriate industry/market organizations.nFollow up on definite business for rooming list, EO’s and complete group resume’s.nAttend staff meeting and BEO meetings to communicate expectations of the clients.nMeet and greet clients the first day of the event.nPerform other related duties as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.nPractice safety standards and report unsafe conditions to the Director of Sales & Marketing.nQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCEnHigh School diploma or equivalent.nMinimum (2) two years of college, degree desirable.nExcellent written and oral communication skills.nPrefer a minimum of two year’s experience in hotel sales or related industry.nAggressive, outgoing and self-motivated individual with pleasant personality.nKnowledgeable on all brand sales/revenue programs.nTenaciously owns sales group opportunities/promotional opportunities.nAdept at on- property Sales and Catering System as well as PMS.nWell organized, detail oriented with excellent follow-up.n Source: Hospitality Online,
