JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises and evaluates selling effort of sales representatives and direct sales in assigned territory. Provide day-to-day application and technical support to field sales, customers, inside staff and customer service group..
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops sales plans and strategies in coordination with VP Sales & Marketing and sales team.
Confers with sales representatives and direct sales to develop sales objectives for market areas.
Recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers in assigned territory.
Maintains personal contact with key customers in assigned markets.
Recruits and interviews candidates for sales representative positions in coordination with VP sales and sales team.
Participates in the selection of Independent Rep Agencies and is responsible for their training and development.
Analyzes sales representatives and district sales direct selling activity and effects changes as needed.
Develops and implements management programs for major accounts.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
May represent sales function in company QIP (quality improvement process) activity and various other internal groups as needed.
Must possess analytical skills.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
Must be detail oriented.
*JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in engineering or technical field.
At least five years Sales/Management experience prefered.
Valid state motor vehicle operator's license. Willingness to travel in assigned territory.
Strong communication skills—verbal, presentation, and writing.
Interest in directing and guiding others—supervisory interest or skills.
