A Director of Sales with New York Hilton Midtown manages and engages sales staff to secure clientele in creating long-term relationships. Responsible for revenue generation by the achievement of room night and average rate goals in Conventions, Company Meetings, Tours and Travel, and Executive Business Services. Also responsible for the development of the Sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Plans and organizes the structure of the Sales office and attends day-to-day operation of the office by meeting with direct reports.
Monitors and sets goals for all managers.
Responsible for motivation of Sales staff to ultimately achieve room night and revenue goals.
Responsible for the establishment of group forecasts by using a number of mathematical equations and extensive research.
Responsible for interaction with various departments of the hotel and must have the ability to effectively communicate with various department heads.
Attend meetings many of which participation is critical. Ability to express ideas, and strategies to a large audience.
Various Sales trips, trade shows, and corporate meetings are required. Must have the ability to travel extensively and coordinate a pre-trip schedule and execute same.
