World's premier provider of orthotic and prosthetic services and products is looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for achieving sales objectives through the cultivation of new and existing referral partnerships. These partners include healthcare providers, health systems, and skilled nursing facilities who treat patients in need of prosthetic and orthotic services. The primary function of this role is to manage and be accountable for achieving business targets for the territory. These targets are met through the development of robust referral networks to drive patient referrals to the company.
Responsibilities
: Collaborate with operational leaders to execute on strategic plans
Connect company with the local healthcare community
Bridge the gap of communication between company clinicians and referring healthcare providers
Develop, expand, and maintain genuine relationships with healthcare providers
Increase patient referrals to company by building referral networks
Maintain accurate knowledge of orthotic and prosthetic competitors
Provide market intelligence to organizational leadership, identifying potential opportunities and/or competitor changes in the local healthcare landscape
Document sales activity in CRM to demonstrate full impact
Complete all hospital/facility vendor credentialing
Develop Sales/Growth/Business plan with each clinic in assigned territory.
Conduct quarterly business reviews with internal local management team
Identify and validate trade shows and conference opportunities throughout territory
Maintain and expand new and existing referral partnerships
Achieve a minimum of 40 sales calls and 2 in-services per week documented in Salesforce
Conduct extensive new referral partner development program including customer in-service meetings w/clinical partners, cold calls, drop ins, etc.
Monitor territory performance through regular review of referral reports
Pursue and sell institution contract fee increases
Lead and coordinate RFP responses
Create sales plans to maximize full contract opportunity; collaborate with clinic management to create clinical support plan
Requirements
: 3 years selling services/products to healthcare providers, health systems or skilled nursing facilities
Strong relationship building and presentation skills.
Knowledge of medical community
Ability to maintain customer relations
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to drive company initiatives through colleagues / peers
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
