Where you fit in?

This position is part of a team tasked to lead the Dealer Owned site opening and new Dealer acquisition efforts. In particular, you will act as a focal point to ensure the whole DO Team’s acquisition targets are fulfilled. You will unlock new ways to improve Indonesia DO CVP attractiveness, as well as to deploy various tactics to triumph in convincing internal/ external stakeholders.

What’s the role?

As Senior DO Business Development Manager (BDM), your principal accountabilities include the following:


Accountable for End-to-End project delivery; from finding new prospect Dealer to signing Retail Supply Agreement, to working closely with DO Engineer to deliver the opening within agreed time, cost, and objectives.
Site acquisition performance; Manage DO site acquisition delivery for the whole DO Team, in which partially his/ her own personal contribution. Strong outcome oriented
Leads acquisition consultants who are helping to provide pipeline of new prospects to Shell team. Provide challenges, ideas, directions including to their leadership
Lead site securing process based on retail network integrated masterplan for the whole DO Team. Accountable for his/ her own site securing targets.
Negotiation with investors/ potential Dealers, obtain internal due diligence screening & legal clearance prior to RSA signing.
Become a role model to other DO BDMs related to developing negotiation strategies/ tactics to approach a prospect and deliver them in a convincing manner. Able to convey messages using different communication styles depending on audience.
Presents DO value proposition in a compelling way to convince potential Dealers/ Investors, at same time balances any potential risks and ways of mitigations. Act as Focal point to work with DO Channel Offer related to all changes & improvements of DO DVP.
Focal point for all group records management matters in DO, as well as to coordinate with other DO BDMs to ensure timely responses of GRM tasks. Liaise with Legal to ensure DO compliance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, both to external and internal stakeholders. Act as focal point to handle complex relationships for Dealers with most sites & volume for Shell. Supporting DO Manager to establish annual KPI process for DO.
Innovation; courage to challenge status quo with a clear customer-focus lens, articulate viewpoints succinctly, propose an implementable idea as solution. Work with NFR team to generate additional income/revenue from DO Select, lube bays, Clip in, Food, ATM, etc.


What we need from you?

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:


Key Account Sales & discipline in Project Management. Understand importance of contact matrix/stakeholder map, as well as pipeline management
Understanding of Retail business & Network Planning experience will be a strong point
Financial literacy, comfortable working with Microsoft Excel to develop a fair and reasonable feasibility study of the Shell DO business
Performance driven to get the team to focus on adding value, leading and managing change
Enthusiasm, energy and open in communication, excellent stakeholder management skills, problem solver and self-starter
Strong team player, relationship building, training, listening skills
Proactive communicator (both verbal and written), strong in relationship building, ability to build effective and sustainable network
Can interact effectively at all levels of management
