Calmar is seeking an energetic, motivated sales Engineer to focus on sales and marketing of innovative femtosecond fiber laser products. The customer bases are in the field of academic, research and development as well as OEM, medical, and industrial sectors. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Promote and sell femtosecond fiber laser products such as passively mode-lock fiber lasers, actively-model-locked fiber lasers, chirped pulse amplifiers and Optical Parametric amplifiers.
Confer with customers to assess needs and to determine system requirements.
Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and application solutions.
Provide technical expertise on products to close on final sale.
Lead the activities of trade shows to present and promote our products and services.
Work with technical and quality department to update or modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers or prospective customers.
Arrange for demonstrations or trial installations of equipment.
Create sales or service contracts for products or services.
Research and identify potential customers for products or services.
Requirements:
Undergraduate or advanced degree in engineering, optics, or physics.
Solid knowledge of methods showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration etc.
Excellent knowledge of and experience in Lasers, Fiber Optics, and Laser Applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
