Description

The Large Group Sales Executive cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers to sell health insurance products to prospective clients. They are responsible for finding leads through prospecting and networking events. Updates external employers on Humana capabilities to create business opportunities and/or enhance the perception and understanding of Humana capabilities. Partner with Large Group Sales Executives and Client Executives on Group Medicare opportunities in medical markets.

Responsibilities

The Large Group Sales Executive - works with agents and consultants to sell Group Medicare products to new and existing large group accounts. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


Must live in CA/HI
3 years of business-to-business sales experience
Active Life & Health License (state of CA/HI)
Background in Insurance Sales, Healthcare, or related field
Experience selling to large employer groups
Proficient in strategy and pipeline development
Advanced presentation and communication skills
Demonstrated ability working with and establishing agent/consultant relationships
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter, who also knows how to work well with a team to achieve ambitious goals
Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis needs
Regular travel required within market territory (CA/HI)
Valid Driver's License
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience selling Medicare Advantage products
Experience working in the Taft- Hartley, Union, and Municipalities market
Has contacts with Consultant's and Brokers in the CA/ HI market
Ability to demonstrate goal achievement, growth projections across product line or customer base
Prior sales experience in the health and wellness solutions industry working with large group segment brokers and employers

Work-At-Home Requirements


Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
