Work with the practice group leaders to develop and implement practice group-specific strategic plans which include marketing and business development goals
Engage with attorneys to understand the legal and business needs of their clients
Lead the development of marketing collateral, including website descriptions and other client-facing materials and ensure the materials remain up to date
Assist in the development of targeted pitches, proposals and RFP responses
Identify and support opportunities to increase brand awareness and profile of the practice groups
Work with the Media and Communications team to coordinate media and publishing opportunities to elevate brand awareness
Collaborate with team members to ensure the practice group’s marketing and business development activities are aligned with the strategic goals
Support, monitor and report on the progress of on-going business development efforts
Serve as strategic advisor to the lawyers on business development best practices and strategies
Work with the events team on the development and execution of practice group client events and identify follow up opportunities for business development
Work with the Client Development team to evaluate firm clients and identify cross-selling opportunities, and ensure key clients of the practice group are consulted for client feedback
Requirements
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
5 years' marketing/business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Strong writing and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and data analysis skills
Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Power Point
