OverviewThe ideal candidate should possess a strong initiative and desire for personal and team achievement. Must be able to maximize profit by effectively supervising the department, coordinating sales budget, establishing room rates, and overseeing group and transient sales.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesnThis position requires travel of 90-100% of the time and candidate must live within reasonable distance to a major airportnResponsible for quickly learning hotel brand and strategy for each assignmentnWillingness and ability to support sales teams in any vacancy of roles and jump into various responsibilitiesnResponsible for assisting with transition of new hotels into the company and conversion of all systems while actively selling and establishing sales teams nProvide pricing and guidance recommendations to sales staff, review and approve any special corporate negotiated rates, including RFP season depending on time of year based on hotel’s revenue goalsnManage group, banquets & catering, business travel accounts based on assigned market segments to maximize business potential and exceeds hotel revenue goalsnEnsure proper documentation for the execution of group, banquet and catering events is created and delivered to the operational team per hotel standardsnIdentify and pursue new and repeat business through prospecting calls, visits, site tours, lunches, and networking eventsnDevelop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set strategiesnAnalyze sales and revenue management reports to identify trends and future demand opportunitiesnUnderstand, leverage, and implement corporate and brand tools to exceed budgetsnConduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering nRecommend and implement new sales programs at the hotel and accurately track ROInProvides ongoing feedback, training and development of team members and addresses areas of opportunitynDrive customer loyalty in order to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence nEnsure accurate and complete use of the sales system including recording all bookings, lost business and activitiesnPerform any other job related duties as assignednnEducation and Experience:nnMinimum of Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or MarketingnMinimum of five (5) years in progressive hotel sales with leadership responsibilitiesnMinimum of three (3) years DOS experience preferrednMinimum of 2 years task force experience preferrednnKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:nnStrong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues and understanding of revenue management nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.nStrong supervisory and leadership skills.nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.nExcellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.nStrong interpersonal skillsnStrong understanding of revenue management principlesnAbility to use reservation and revenue management systems to develop pricing and sales recommendationsnProficient in Microsoft Office Products, Delphi, Travelclick and other sales/management systems as needednAbility to travelnMust have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidaysnnPhysical Requirements: nnProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.nBenefitsnMedical, Dental, and Vision InsurancenHealth Savings AccountnDependent Care Flexible Spending AccountnHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountnPaid Time OffnLife InsurancenShort & Long Term DisabilitynAccident & Critical Illness InsurancenPet InsurancenTeladoc Virtual HealthcarenSurgery Plus – Non-emergency surgery benefit at a lower cost.nEmployee Assistance Programn401(k)nDaily Pay – Easy access to your earned pay when you need it.nVarious Employee Perks and Discountsn Source: Hospitality Online,
