Job Role And ResponsibilitiesThe VMware Enterprise Business Development Manager will drive the execution of key sales initiatives for our joint sales opportunities with Dell Technologies. This role will support the Partner Ecosystem team, and report to the Modern Applications Platform Business Unit Solutions Lead to analyze, organize, and convert joint Tanzu portfolio sales opportunities for net new customers (new logos). You should be highly motivated, organized, analytical and foster close working relationships with external and internal teams at a Geo/Theater level with Core Reps and leadership teams. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for closing sales, strategic thinking, sales enablement and programmatic execution.This role will navigate across a matrix organization, reinforcing and advocating “first and best” principles, collaborating with the Modern Apps Platform Business Unit (MAPBU) and Dell Technology Synergy Acceleration Tam (DSAT) BU’s, GTM, Operations and Sales constituents at VMware and Dell Technologies.ResponsibilitiesProspect, qualify, and develop sales opportunities to Enterprise customersManage the end-to-end sales process while working cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Client Success Managers, Sales Engineers, C-level Executives, etc.Pipeline customers through a combination of Dell-VMWare account mapping, cold calling, email campaigns, and market sector knowledgeEvangelize the Tanzu mission through product demonstrations, in-market events, and account specific initiativesForecast sales activity and revenue achievement, while creating satisfied customersIdentify and research new territories/verticals to formalize a go-to-market strategy and create qualified target accountsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS degree or similar college level education5+ years of quota carrying sales experience, preferably in SaaSConsistent track record of selling software to Enterprise accounts; achieving both personal and team goalsSelf-starter able to drive your own business and produce sales results with Enterprise sellers at DellTrack record of over-achieving quota in previous positionsExperience managing and closing complex sales cycles, and demonstrated ownership of territory managementHave excellent verbal, written, listening, and influencing skills and be able to present facts clearly and concisely to all levels of the organizationThrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environmentReady to roll up your sleeves, try new things, and work hard to accomplish big featsCategory : SalesSubcategory: Field SalesExperience: Manager and ProfessionalFull Time/ Part Time: Full TimePosted Date: 2020-05-15VMware Company Overview: At VMware, we believe that software has the power to unlock new opportunities for people and our planet.
