****Job Description:
To provide the highest level of customer service to members and guests. The Pro Shop Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers as they sign in to play golf, managing the tee sheet, assisting with sales and opening and closing the shop.
Responsibilities Include:
Answering and directing all incoming phone calls.
Greeting and directing all customers.
Informing customers of playing conditions
Booking tee times and managing the daily tee-sheet. Informing the Starter and golf staff of changes on the tee-sheet.
Updating the tee-sheet customer database.
Assisting customers with their shopping needs.
Check out customers in POS system. Closeout and balance register.
Opening/Closing the Pro Shop.
Dust and clean Pro Shop, ensuring all surfaces and displays are clean, neat and attractive.
Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Golf and Retail experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance
Early morning and evening hours. Working weekends and holidays. Requires lifting of heavy objects. On your feet for long periods of time
