The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Public Sector works with agents and consultants to sell specialty insurance and related products to Public Sector clients. The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Public Sector work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Public Sector develops new business opportunities in the public sector line of business to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service. They implement strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in public sector, union and hospital areas. They manage complex negotiations. They ensure product, pricing and services meet client's needs while meeting Humana's revenue growth and profit objectives. Typical sales cycles may be long and can be complex. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops new business opportunities in the public sector line of business to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service.
Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in public sector, union and hospital areas. Manages complex negotiations. Positions products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.
Cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on the larger or more complex accounts/prospects.
Ensures product, pricing and services meet client's needs while meeting Humana revenue growth and profit objectives.
Manages and builds producer relations as needed depending on book of business or market segment being supported.
Identifies various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of ancillary product line illustrating a keen understanding of client's multifaceted needs and benefits of Humana's product array.
Collaborates with internal partners and/or external constituents to uncover profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within new or existing customers and to support post-sale activities.
Coordinates finalist presentations and sales seminars, testimonials and works with subject matter expert in support of the successful delivery of constituent presentations.
Participates in constituent meetings including finals presentations.
Develops/maintains and communicates expertise on products, industry and emerging marketplace trends.
Presents at and attend Industry conferences and union/public trade shows.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5- 8years' experience selling large group/ jumbo accounts / public sector, including experience selling dental and vision
Consultative selling background and experience
Business and Industry Acumen
Active life and health license
Time management skills
