The Peripheral District Sales
Manager will plan, direct, and lead all sales activities of the Medtronic
peripheral vascular products and/or services in a specified district or other
major geographical area. This position will develop and implement business
strategies to drive revenue and profitability goals for a specified District.
In addition, the Peripheral District
Manager will be responsible for the overall hiring and on-boarding of sales
representatives, mentoring, team development, implementing retention
strategies. The Peripheral District Manager will also be responsible for
collaboration with local Medtronic cardiovascular group (CVG) sales and
leadership teams within the specified Peripheral geography.
**A DAY IN THE LIFE:POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Plans, directs, and leads allsales and sales training activities for specified district.
Develops and implements abusiness strategy for the revenue and profitability for specified District.Drives business strategies within the district
Manages, coaches, develops,retains, and evaluates performance for field employees for specified district
Hires, develops, trains, andretains field employees within a specified district.
Provides ongoing coaching andfeedback to district sales staff through field visits, observation, Andmeasurement of results
In close collaboration withthe Peripheral VP of sales:
Assists in establishing planquotas for each territory in district; ensures that strategies are in place tomeet and exceed plan
Provide input andrecommendations on design of compensation plans
Ensures all sales andmarketing programs are communicated and implemented and coordinated in thedistrict
Ensures, and in many cases, drivesthe team work between Medtronic sales organizations; including CardiovascularAlliances, presentation of a unified company, sharing of information andresources, etc.
Effectively monitors andcontrols expenses with in district
Ensures that the companysethical position is maintained within district; effectively communicate andmanage company business conduct policies
Develops and maintains a highlevel of product knowledge and relevant medical information for self, direct andindirect reports
Develops and maintains athorough understanding of the client base. Ensures a working relationshipbetween Medtronic CardioVascular and key accounts is maintained
Attends clinical meetings,seminars, conferences, etc., as appropriate
Leverages Clinical CVGResources based on local CVG Strategy. Work closely with local ClinicalSpecialist team, to ensure we are fully leveraging their relationships/skillsto support and grow the peripheral business
Interface and work closelywith CVG leadership/DSS/DOC/RFL to ensure the peripheral products are oncontract and these contracts are leveraged to drive growth

Bachelors
Degree
5 years
of medical sales experience
**NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
Preference will be given tolocal qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience
Successful medical salesrecord, preferably with pacing or stent products
Experience with sales andpersonnel management functions
Knowledge of pacing orinterventional cardiology customer base
Additional experience in marketing,training, technical services or related areas

Ability to conduct companybusiness outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, workschedule
