SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both Tyson and Customer objectives that achieve desired business results in the case ready beef and pork category. Responsibilities of this position are to provide sales direction, support and information to the customer and to the Tyson Business Units. This position is responsible for plan, forecast and budget for the volume and growth rate aligned with Tyson Business Units objectives. Responsibilities include: achieving sales volume and financial objectives; develop and maintain strategic customer relationships; provide timely, concise and effective communication both internally and externally; and aligning and executing multiple business strategies. Essential Duties include Planning, forecasting and achieving high volume annual growth quotas; managing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews to the customer and Tyson; provide Tyson field support direction and communication; special project planning and execution; T&E, Deduction, AR resolution and reduction; weekly sales reports; planning and managing annual promotional spending/calendar; trackand report competitive activities; conduct annual price and volume contract negotiations; collaborate with production and production planning to optimize production flow and efficiencies; collaborate with various internal TEAMS to create winning business propositions that be benefit Tyson and the customer; lead cross functional team members to improve forecast accuracy and customer service; live out the Tyson Cultural Tenets, 5C's, Customer Promise and Strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product categories to include Case Ready Beef and Pork. Achievement of growth plan across this large, quickly growing business.
Penetrate Customer new and existing customers at multiple levels and establish business relationships that enable strategic collaborative business planning initiatives, where appropriate
Own and lead development of strategic and tactical business planning activities with Customer, ensuring achievement of AOP/Budget and execution of category tactics
Leverage analytics, insights, reporting and recommendations to build/execute customer plans
Responsible for forecasting input, knowledge and ongoing maintenance, as well as utilizing reporting capabilities to evaluate all aspects of the plan
Coordinate with X-Functional resource on Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Procurement activities
Leverage internal resources to strengthen Customer relationship and aid in the development of Executive and/or Top to Top Presentations, and strategic innovation
Other responsibilites include: Using Tyson demand systems for collaborating with sales & customer to measure & report forecast & order fill performance; prepare reports, & participate in the resolution of exceptions & exception reporting; adjusting sales forecast for Division alignments, distribution channels & modular updates; working with customers promotion calendars, monitoring demand vs forecast & order fill.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 6 years of industry sales experience preferred. 2 years sales experience in Retail channel and/or 2 years National Accounts Direct Sales Experience preferred. Fresh Meat Manufacturing experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills; public speaking and presentation skills.
Influence: Responsible for prividing influence, guidance, and direction to support individuals who perform(s) similar and/or interrelated tasks.
Special Skills: Strong organization skills, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to work independently; Ability to translate corporate direction into sales successes and the ability to create alignment with the broker Understanding of motivational leadership, conflict resolution and strong entrepreneurial selling skills are required
Travel: as needed, estimating 15-20 trips per year, possibly more
