Description
The Oncology Market Sales Director leverages targeted geographic analysis, engages with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. The Market Director requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
The Oncology Market Sales Director focuses on increasing orders to Humana Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenues while remaining focused on the Oncology therapeutic area. The Market Director will also help deliver on the broad strategic growth goals for Humana Pharmacy in Medicare (MAPD), Humana PDP, and all payers .
Leadership decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and professionally developing highly specialized professional associates. This role requires a deep understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and oncology while at the same time demonstrating the ability to work with different segments of the overall business. The Market Director is responsible for building, and advancing a Sales Team, while focusing on strategy across all Oncology Territories. The ideal candidate has strategic marketing capability, strong collaboration skills, and has a proven track record of success in all respects of Oncology, technical knowledge, selling techniques, interpreting/analyzing data.
Location: Remote office, travel required. Must live no further east than Texas to lead the Western sales team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
4 or more years of management experience
Proven successful experience in Oncology Sales
Exceptional leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, to lead change, and to coach/mentor others
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines
Focused mindset on customer experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of business dynamics
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
8 or more years of pharmacy operations experience strongly preferred
Master's Degree
Six Sigma/Lean Black belt or similar process improvement certifications
Managed Care Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Visio (or similar process mapping tool) and statistical software packages
Bilingual in English and Spanish--ability to read, write and speak both languages fluently
Additional Information
Location: Remote office, travel required. Must live no further east than Texas to lead the Western sales team.
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
