A Cluster Director of SaleLeads the development and executionof strategic Sales and Plans and initiatives that maximize profitability for the hotels in order to achieve budget, revenue and market share targets.
What will I be doing?
As Cluster Director of Sales, you are responsible for working closely with the Senior Management Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. A Director of Sales will work to develop the sales group and groom a high-performing sales team. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Market plan and objectives.
Provides leadership, guidance and assistance relating to the execution of sales functions, policies and standards asestablished by the Corporation.
Capitalizes on Hilton Hotels’ marketing, sales programs and resources.
Participates in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment and attendance at client and other relevant industry events.
Directs coordination of cross-selling, joint marketing initiatives and other hotel/brand synergies to maximize exposure and profitability including agency contact, media planning and hotel communications.
Directs the solicitation efforts of the sales team through effective oral and written communication while providing strategic direction of rate, date and space commitments for group room sales of the property.
Develops and implements strategic and tactical plans to maintain current base and increase the hotel’s share in transient market.
Directs the ongoing research of the travelindustry local and national market to detect market trends and related information fordevelopment of new marketing strategies.
Directs the efforts to improve potential from various existing and new markets.
Represents the Hotels in a correct image towards customers and negotiating partners.
Continuous improvement of the product range and the image of the hotel.
Draws up the sales activity plan for the Hotels.
Co-ordinates the hotel’s sales activities with the aim of optimal room occupancy and high accommodation and F&B sales and other revenues.
Develops, designs and calculates attractive offers for individual customers, travel agents and companies.
Responsible for a smooth and rational work sequence in the Sales Department and cooperation with the other departments in the hotel, in particular Reservations and the GC&E Department.
Integrates and uses Yield Management in daily sales.
Directs the hotel in the development, implementation and achievement of their annual business.
Monitors offers, options and cancellations for repeat bookings for groups, conventions, and seminars in close co-operation with the GC&E Department and Reservations.
Holds weekly Sales Meetings - follow up and control of sales quotas for the Sales Managers and Sales Executives.
Visits regularly with large and prestigious customers, identifies prospects accounts and assures the corresponding sales activities to win these customers.
Develops and updates the customer index file and its follow up
New acquisition of customers in all segments
Manages contacts with regular customers and key contacts.
Creates sales targets on the basis of an exact marketing analysis. Review the targets and issue of sales reports on a weekly / monthly basis to the Commercial Director.
Monitors turnover oriented sales results.
Develop the Sales team through leadership and by example to include sales development; participate in the hiring of team members, and their future success
Collaborate with Yas Island Stakeholders to drive destination demand through cooperation with other Island assets.

Excellent written skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication that properly reflects the Hilton Image.
Excellent spoken and presentation skills
Considerable ability to listen effectively
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
Ability to delegate, manage and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
Ability to effectively deal with department heads, customers and team members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints.
If necessary carries out disciplinary measures in respect of the Team Members in the Sales department, with the aim of assuring good performance and satisfaction of Team Members.
UAE / Abu Dhabi market knowledge.
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
UAE Driving License
5-7 years related experience
