The Key Account Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing all sales initiatives of our Verizon DC Power and Services portfolio into the telecommunication's segment across the United States and Canada. This is a senior-level role where the candidate needs to be experienced in advising and influencing at executive level. Candidates should have experience successfully selling a product solution to Verizon with the proven ability to develop long-standing business partnerships. This roles reports to Account Manager.
Your responsibilities
Establishes and develops account relationships based on a defined strategy with Verizon.
Acts as a focal point for problem resolution and monitors customer claims as well as plans, facilitates, and conducts customer negotiations.
Develops, maintains, and shares detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition.
Participates in the development of sales strategies for an account by providing the customer's current business and long-term plans.
Provides input on the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans by prioritizing the opportunities and identifying a target for each solution element (Provides input on the development and implementation).
Proposes recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.
Sells products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and budget targets.
Monitors competitors' activity with each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
Your background
Minimum of 10 years sales experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Position requires the ability to travel an average of 50% of the time during a typical work week.
Leadership experience with global and local teams and reporting to senior management.
Knowledge of customers across the telecommunications.
Practical experience with strategic selling tools and methodology in growing key accounts.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
2 years of Key Account Management preferred.
