Position OverviewSiemens Water Solutionsnis looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer with at least 10-years ofnvalid experience to join our Water Solutions Team. The candidate will report tonour Integrated Solutions Business Manager and will support our Global Sales Teamnwith customer interaction and presentations of process technology evaluations,nselection, cost estimating, and operations optimization for new wastewaterntreatment solutions that meet our customer’s growing needs in several marketnverticals, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, coal, pharmaceuticals, andnmining. Responsibilities·       Support Global Sales Opportunities in definingnoptimal water and wastewater treatment solutions offerings in budget andnfirm proposals through the entire sales cycle·       Recommend the solution offering that compliesnwith the customer’s requirements and specifications defined in the project RFQ·       Establish and track opportunity sales budgets·       Identify project risks and propose mitigationnmethods·       Ability to travel, up to 20%, depending on phasenof project sales cycle·       Qualified Applicants must be legally authorizednfor employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not requirenemployer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment innthe UnitednStates.                         RequirednKnowledge/Skills and Experience·       Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, EnvironmentalnEngineering, or Civil Engineering·       10 years of experience developing conventionalnand advanced wastewater treatment solutions, with a minimum of 3 yearsnsupporting global sales efforts as a Senior Technical Engineer/TechnologynSpecialist.·       Process Design knowledge in physical, chemicalnand biological water and wastewater treatment, including: coagulation andnflocculation, flotation, sedimentation, chemical precipitation, biologicalntreatment processes, advanced oxidation, membrane separation, media filtration,nion exchange, and solids dewatering·       Troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up ofnindustrial wastewater treatment systems  ·       Advanced cost estimating knowledge for corenequipment used in biological, and physical/chemical wastewater treatmentnprocesses·       Microsoft Office productivity software (Word,nExcel, Project, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD, and development of custom solutionsnusing Excel. Working knowledge of process modeling software for process designnand assisting in development of detailed Excel spreadsheet models to aid innprocess design and analyses.·       Laboratory bench-scale and field-based pilotnoperations and technology evaluation and validation·       Data analysis and process optimization·       Engineering and life-cycle cost analyses used innevaluation of process feasibility·       Process unit and integrated solution costnestimating used in the preparation of budgetary estimates and firm bidnproposals·       The ability and desire to work effectively withna range of internal and external project professionals including customernengineering, process engineering, procurement, vendors, consultants, and EPCs·       Familiarity with engineering specificationsnapplicable to water and wastewater treatment plant design and equipmentnselection for the industrial markets served·       Good writing skills, including proposalndevelopment for budget-level and firm bid opportunitiesPreferrednKnowledge/Skills and Experience·      nBachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, EnvironmentalnEngineering, or Civil Engineering·      nPrior knowledge of Siemens applications, customers, processes, andnproducts Siemens Gas and Powern(GP) is a global pacesetter in energy, helping customers to meet the evolvingndemands of today’s industries and societies.
