What’s the role?
This is a new, multifaceted Commercial role, combining Sales, Business Development
and Marketing,
attributes. Shell Fleet Solutions expects to acquire SMEs at scale, leveraging multiple channels in a cost-effective way with a distinct focus on customer experience. In your role, you will be responsible for delivering scalable growth in customer numbers, margin and active product and services usage through digital channels. This role provides a unique opportunity to be at the heart of our shift to growing a profitable customer base in SME. As a Sales Manager SME, you will be reporting into the Head of Fleet Solutions Netherlands and you will work closely with your counterpart in the global SME organization as well as the local Marketing team.
You will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
As a key member of Shell Fleet Solutions team, the SME manager position will be key in driving SME growth through active sales account management. You will be the expert on the needs of Tech companies, aggregators, car sharing companies and other business in the SME sector.
This role offers an exciting mix of direct ownership of key activities as well as helping implement relevant global initiatives at a local level. Think about looking for opportunities and landing partnerships with large aggregators, engaging with B2C and lead retailer engagements to drive SME Growth via the Shell sites / Retailer channel, or support marketing campaigns through various digital channels, potentially supported by Telesales activities, maintain a feedback loop with customer support teams and so much more.
Your market, competitor and customer knowledge will contribute to shaping product roadmaps, improving customer experience and of course, offering compelling services to SMEs. You will help prioritize which CVPs are best positioned to help the SME segment grow.
You will work closely together with expansive teams including but not limited to the local Marketing team, global SME team, product team, customer support, with everyone focused towards growing the previously underserved SME segment.
You will help bring to life global initiatives, coordinating their implementation in your market and ensuring they are locally relevant and consistent across the entire ecosystem: from the tone of voice, to the legal checks, activation plans and even down to enriching the FAQs.
You will shape the local marketing planning & priorities for the SME segment to reach ambitious growth targets and continuously monitor performance in key areas using different tools.
You will be responsible for the P&L and the delivery of the growth targets of the SME segment in your market
What we need from you?
Alongside your proven experience within B2B commercial delivery in business mobility or another relevant B2B environment, we’re keen to talk to women and men with as many of the following as possible on your CV:
Strong Sales Experience and delivery track record
Master’s degree
Curiosity about external trends (think fintech, other SME platforms) and able to translate those into actionable initiatives
Familiar with B2B practices, but also with an understanding of SME segment particularities which sometimes closely resembles B2C purchasing behavior.
You are keen to continuously learn about the needs of small businesses and people who drive for work each day, you keep up with competition.
Interest and affinity with digital products and CX focus a distinct advantage
You have marketing skills (planning, marketing activation, digital marketing)
Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, good communication skills
Strong project managements skills required
Fluency in Dutch
