Shell is aiming to develop products for the electrification of off-road heavy-duty vehicles. Starting with the mining and marine sectors; it is anticipated that this will lead to development of solutions to decarbonise customers across hard to abate transport sectors.
The Electrification Technical Sales Manager will be the commercial technical lead responsible for the working with the sales and marketing organization in selling electrification solutions to Sectors and Decarbonisation customers. The Technology Manager will lead the technical discussions with customers explaining the role that electrification has in meeting net-zero goals as well as ensure customer insights are being feed into technology development of solutions and services. The position will also be responsible for co-leading the development of technical material and ensure that demonstrated value records are developed.
What’s the role?
Key Responsibilities:
As the Electrification Technology Manager, you will be a technical specialist in working with sales and marketing colleagues in selling BEV solutions to customers
Acquire and evaluate competitor benchmark information to influence concept creation in early project phases
Ensure that the technical concepts of electrification are communicated effectively to sales and marketing colleagues as well as to customers
Be the commercial technical focal point in working with Shell Technology and consortium partners as they build the products and services to meet customer needs
Train, coach, and present technical information and share the knowledge throughout organisation
Develop and record best practices and support development of materials to handle the Powertrain Electrification requirements of today and the future
What we need from you
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated technical knowledge of BEV Powertrain Electrification systems
Front-line experience working with customer in solving complex technical problems
In depth knowledge of vehicle legislation and certification requirements for electric powertrains
