This position is responsible for providing supervision and management of Sherwin-Williams Sales Representatives within a District, resulting in improved sales, expense and profit performance, reduced turnover, improved personnel development, and better service to wholesale customers. As a District Sales Manager, you will work with Sales Reps to improve the wholesale selling activities of each market, assist them with sales calls, and provide necessary input on product recommendations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.Must have a valid driver’s license.Ability to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field.Experience in conducting outside sales calls to build new business and increase existing business.Time management skills to organize daily planning and monthly activities.Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints.Ability to manage human resources, including building a talented sales management staff, setting high standards of performance, coaching/training and developing employees.Leadership qualities, including ability to influence, prioritize, make decisions and take charge of complex activities.Track record of achieving sales and profit results and business development activities, including market penetration, sales development and competitive analysis.Broad and extensive knowledge of all market segments, products and applications.Ability to implement a sales territory market plan.
