: The General Sales Manager is responsible for hiring, developing and leading Account Executives and the sales support team with the objective of meeting and exceeding the team’s local, regional, digital and national commercial revenue targets for Zolo Media. The incumbent must have a comprehensive understanding of television and on-line media and be adept at forecasting, researching trends, and developing creative client incentive programs to drive results for the company and its clients.

Zolo Media provides targeted advertising solutions through a combination of local originated content, local broadcast television stations, and on BendBroadband and Crestview cable television networks. Zolo Creative Services offers award-winning video production for television spot production.
Visit **** or ****Lead, mentor and develop the sales organization through performance coaching and one-on-one mentoring to optimize revenue potential across all revenue streams. This includes attending Account Executive client meetings, assessing skills, and offering evaluation and targeted training to address skill gaps and new market opportunities. Hire, train and retain employee base. Establish pricing policies and actively monitor and adjust pricing based on inventory supply and demand. Communicate inventory availability and priorities, approve packaging strategies, set revenue goals for the sales team, secure agreement from upper management and optimize revenue across all platforms. Communicate inventory, sales, and packaging strategies to Account Executives. Accurately identify, monitor and forecast sales and share marketing trends for key business segments. Participate in the process of establishing accurate sales budgets and forecasts. Establish and maintain effective relationships with specific key accounts, referral sources and agencies in concert with the Account Executives. Build client satisfaction and accountability through a consultative selling approach. Provide industry updates. Deliver relevant market or trade-specific information as necessary to appropriate management and Account Executives. Identify and eliminate any barriers to the sales process between the Account Executive, internal resources and clients. Work closely with News Director, Creative Services Manager and Digital Media Specialist to identify opportunities for sponsorships and on-air/online promotions. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and senior management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4 years professional work experience. 10 years professional work experience in a Media sales management role with preferred experience towards television and digital media. 5 years’ experience selling media advertising. 5 years’ experience in a numbers-driven transactional selling environment using Nielsen or Comscore ratings.
