Sales Representative u00A0ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively prospect and sell fresh products to new and existing customersProcure raw meat for value added production from sister plants and/or external suppliersWork closely with prepared foods sales and production to determine best use and schedule of in-house raw materialSet up weekly production run schedule for production coordinator and provide weekly forecase of sales to determine spot loadsAct as liaison between sales manager and divisionSend out samples upon customer requestWrite up customer complaints and distribute to appropriate personnelAssist transportation clerk with logistical schedulingWork with sales administrator to retrieve and process ordersCoordinate and key in receiving of outside sales/transfer trucksLead daily production meetings with production coordinator and shippingCross-train with production coordinator and sales administratorExhibit the highest possible level of customer service to all customers, visitors and prospectsu00A0EDUCATION:u00A0 Typically requires a Bacheloru2019s degree in a related field.u00A0EXPERIENCE:u00A0 Requires a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience.u00A0 DIRECTLY RELATED work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.u00A0u00A0BASIC SKILLS:Working knowledge and understanding of sales, manufacturing and product developmentPrior poultry industry experience preferredStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office); SAP experience preferredGood personality/ability to interact effectively with customers, customer product managers, QA managers, R&D staff, etc.Compassionate to customers' needsDetail orientedCan thrive in a team environmentAbility to multi-taskSelf-motivatedExcellent follow-through skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel as requiredEOE/Vets/Disabled
