About the job
This position is needed to lead a Growth New Business sales team. This person will lead, mentor, and scale a high performing team of full-cycle Account Executives (8 -10 individual contributors) focused on closing deals in our SMB segment within the Southwestern United States. Our team is responsible to identify and successfully earn the trust and confidence of the next generation of high-growth startups.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Live the Twilio Magic in every internal and external interaction
Hire, Develop, and Lead a team of highly motivated Account Executives
Drive the team to exceed Monthly and Quarterly net new revenue targets
Generate pipeline coverage through consistent and repeatable sales plays and processes
Provide consistent and regular coaching and feedback to improve overall team performance
Identify opportunities for process and system improvement and work cross-functionally to implement change

Required:
2 years of managing a quota carrying team of account executives
5 years of full-cycle sales experience in a technical, solutions selling environment
Full-time position
An ability to learn technical concepts such as cloud, API's, communications, PaaS or consumption based technology experience where customer relationships are dependent on technical performance
Experience building high performing sales teams, managing all monthly forecasting, and can support fiscal planning and revenue tracking for all major accounts in the region
Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels
Desired:
Bring data driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting
Excellent time management/prioritization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor Degree preferred
Location
This role will be based in our Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA office or Remote in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.
Approximately 20% travel is anticipated.

Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
