Manage the sales function and account strategy for major Liquid Ingredients accounts to maximize value for our own fluid ingredients, as well as extending revenue line with added contract and spot sales against third-party sources. Recommend areas for future business development based on customer needs and market trends and contribute as a subject matter expect on Liquid Ingredients markets. Support the overall Ingredient Solutions strategy as a sales lead for other End Use Category teams and strategic/key account managers. *This position has the flexibility for the candidate to be based remotely anywhere in the US. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Understand the dairy markets and trends to maximize profitability of transactions and contribute insights to the cooperative Engage in the contracting, spot buying, and sales of dairy products with heavy focus on fluid by-products, but also across the DFA portfolio Manage key customer relationships for Liquid Ingredients’ focused accounts Develop and maintain 3rd party spot supply relationships to maximize volume and value for Ingredient Solutions Utilize sales approach and market knowledge to achieve highest possible return for our supply Develop new customer base for liquid ingredients Attend industry group meetings and customer meetings as Liquid Ingredients support, as needed Develop annual sales plans; identify and fully execute opportunities Support customer service as needed with settlement discrepancy or service challenges Provide back-up support to scheduling and logistics as needed to ensure on time deliveries Use the programs, such as Dairy.com, Salesforce, and Power BI, to follow sales procedures and contribute to customer connectivity across DFA Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
