Job Summary
: Lead the sales and operations team for corporate events at Arrowhead. Direct the operations of all event activity at Arrowhead Stadium including corporate events, Chiefs games and other stadium events. Develop and maintain process and procedure deliver safe, world class experiences at Arrowhead Stadium.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Assist the Vice President, Stadium Operations in planning, directing and managing the day-to-day operation of Arrowhead Stadium.
2. Lead the event sales team to develop annual event sales budgets, meet and exceed annual goals and implement a strategic plan for growth of the event business.
3. Manage the operation of stadium events to include Chiefs games, concerts and other sporting events.
4. Responsible to forecast P&L for every event including stadium events and provide updated forecasts for revenue and expenses leading up to events and comprehensive and immediate post-event settlements.
5. Develop and execute comprehensive operating plans and processes for day-to-day and event-mode operation of Arrowhead Stadium that ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and employees.
6. Develop and execute comprehensive operating and safety plans for all events at Arrowhead Stadium.
7. Lead the event operations department and manage the entire corporate event cycle from marketing to sales/contracting, execution and settlement.
8. Review and approve event documentation including manifests and set up/tear down detail. Develop process and operating procedure to ensure consistency in event execution.
9. Lead meetings as appropriate to review event and other activity with other department heads and key staff to ensure flawless planning and execution of all events.
10. Develop, implement and manage departmental budgets. Monitor and approve expenditures and implement adjustments as necessary while involving direct reports in the process.
11. Direct development of management reports and tracking of key performance indicators.
12. Inspire, mentor and develop staff to deliver world class service in all aspects of the operation that delights and exceeds expectations of our guests, clients and partners.
13. Direct the development of process and procedure for the event staff personnel policy, scheduling, hiring, training and recognition programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Light office duties and activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
Event sales experience and/or experience managing sales employees and proven history exceeding sales targets is preferred.
Experience in a stadium is preferred, experience in a sports and/or public assembly venue is required
Strong leadership experience with a diverse set of reports to include full time, part time and event day staff
Experience writing and negotiating event contracts and/or license agreements
Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor and evaluate staff
Seven to ten years leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, guest oriented operation such as a stadium, arena or theme park.
Demonstrated ability for long range planning
Experience managing the operations of stadium events, concerts and sports events.
Experience with corporate events, trade shows and exhibitions
Extensive experience and knowledge of audience control techniques and principles
Prior budget responsibility and experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of principles of operation of a public assembly facility.
