**A Day in the Life**
We are seeking an experienced Principal Analyst to drive business analysis and project trends for the commercial organization. This individual will focus on developing and enhancing forecast models. Through the harmonization of various data sources, this role will optimize predictive analytics to drive actionable insights for our U.S. commercial organization. We are looking for a candidate with strong expertise in these areas, as well as an ability to train and mentor within an exciting, fast-paced environment. **This role will have two primary functions:**
1. **Develop New & Enhance Existing Forecast Models** Query and analyze large amounts of data to accurately project sales trends and identify opportunities for optimization.
2. **Present Analysis to Sales Leadership** Effectively consolidate analyses into presentations for Sales Leadership and clearly communicate actionable insights.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Develop and maintain forecasting models based on sales data and supporting information
Assess the effectiveness of the sales and clinical teams, support cross-functional partners (i.e., Marketing, Health Plan Solutions) and propose creative solutions to address complex business challenges
Communicate and simplify complex findings to Sales Leadership to drive actions across the commercial organization
Conduct data analysis and develop reporting tools to identify business trends and report performance results across Sales channels, product lines, payer groups, etc.
Review department metrics with the Leadership team to help ensure consistent performance, high level of productivity, and achievement of business goals for the Commercial Organization
Identify and track data to develop and refine business forecasting and product utilization models, as well as to develop predictive Sales and productivity analysis
Design, produce and maintain various reports and database systems for department management as requested
Collaborate with IT to automate reporting tools and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Simultaneously manage multiple project/work assignments and analytical duties
Use departmental metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
Learn and develop proficiency with SAP, Centricity and/or other programs used by the Commercial Team
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal sales execution and attainment of growth objectives
Develop territorial sales quotas in accordance with the profit plan
Instruct sales, marketing managers, field area managers, and support staff in accessing sales and marketing information
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of Business Analytics experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years Business Analytics experience
**Nice to Have**
Sales, Marketing, and/or Project Management experience **(strongly preferred)**
Data Modeling and Forecasting Experience **(strongly preferred)**
SQL coding experience **(strongly preferred)**
Tableau Experience
Advanced technical skills (MS Excel, MS Access, etc.)
MBA or advanced degree
Prior Medical Device or Pharma industry experience
Experience presenting data to leadership/executive level
Excellent attention to detail
