Summary:
The Sales Account Manager position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions for Convenience channel operators within a specific geography, reporting directly into a Director of Sales (DOS)- Convenience Store Channel. Key responsibilities of this role require working cross functionally with sales strategy and planning, customer planning and development, business development, revenue management, and customer service throughout the sales process: generating demand to supply the customer needs. Additionally, the Sales Account Manager will work closely with Convenience distribution sales counterparts to meet sales objectives with shared accountability, creating a centralized customer experience across the channel. It is critical to be detail-oriented with strong ability to prioritize and adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Representing the brands of Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, Big AZ, Wright and more, this sales role will collaboratively develop and execute annual business plans that deliver volume, sales, and profit targets – requiring strong understanding of customers to align needs and attain sustained long-term growth. The successful candidate must deliver results while demonstrating the companies 5 C s of Caring, Commitment, Creativity, Candor and Collaboration across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sound analytical skills aimed at monitoring business trends and formulating proactive solutions to effectively grow the business.
Strong collaboration skills both internal and external with the ability to work in team environment across multiple levels and personalities to properly engage others.
Solid communication skills to include active listening with ability to effectively interact both internally and externally in effort to facilitate understanding and move business forward
Ability to synthesize pertinent material for effective presentation to customer. This will include innovation and business reviews and deliverables on company initiatives. Solid demonstrated presentation skills aimed to influence and negotiate for win-win outcomes.
Possess an entrepreneurial business attitude to constantly explore new opportunities and effectively own the business.
Achieve sales volume, execute pricing strategies & manage product mix sold.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and distributors to execute multiple busines strategies and educate our customers and business partners.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 5 years industry experience preferred, with 2 plus years outside sales experience Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales preferred.
Essential Skills: Basic Computer and MS Office skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills.
Travel: 50%
