Job Details:
At Tyson, we’re seeking an experienced and innovative product manager to help lead our commercial sales transformation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify gaps in existing processes and a passion for discovering innovative solutions. This candidate will be skilled in the art of product management and have a proven track record in working cross-functionally, strategy and planning, and the product lifecycle – conception to production implementation. This candidate should be confident leading cross – functional teams, as well as a collaborative team member to ensure creative, accurate, and timely deliverable of products that will improve the commercial sales experience.
Objectives of this Role
Lead product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the organization
Analyze business needs, points of system integration, process automation, and industry trends
Assess existing processes, seeking opportunities for improvement
Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate processes, tools, and systems
Develop, implement, and maintain product implementation timelines
Serve as the liaison between business and technology
Understanding and representing user needs.
Defining a vision for a product.
Aligning stakeholders around the vision for the product.
Prioritizing product features and capabilities.
Creating a shared brain across larger teams to empower independent decision-making.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
4 years strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
Highly effective cross-functional team management
Previous experience delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
Exceptional communication skills around probing, questioning, listening
Proven experience working within the Agile framework
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in product design or engineering
Previous software and web development experience
Proven experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
