Our client, a manufacturer for the automation industry located in the Elk Grove Village area, seeks an inside sales/customer support representative.
Customer Service Representative Job Responsibilities:
Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.
Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.
Opens customer accounts by recording account information.
Maintains customer records by updating account information.
Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
Generates revenue by taking incoming orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
Develops sales opportunities by building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
Services accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information.
Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs.
Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements/Benefits:
The hours required for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
We provide 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick time.

Customer Service Representative Qualifications / Skills:
Customer Service Experience
Inside Sales Experience
Email/Phone interactions with customers at a high volume
Microsoft familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook
Technical knowledge of forms of measurement, such as Metric and Standard
