n Job Summary       Initial point of supervisory contact for daily operation of National Group Sales, ensuring quality standards/guidelines/goals are met and provide direct supervision of Sales Coordinator/Administrative Staff.Specific ResponsibilitiesnManages, motivates and directs activities of Sales Coordinator/Sr. Sales Coordinator/Administrative staff.nResponsible for hiring, coaching and development, counseling and writing/issuing performance reviews of direct reports.nServes as initial point of contact for daily associate issues, questions, problems, customer concernsnMonitors, tracks and audits associate performance in accordance with established goals and responsibilities.nnUses necessary tools and resources (systems and personnel) to continuously monitor, audit, evaluate and direct necessary changes related to call handling.  Areas of evaluation include, but not limited to, occupancy, AHT, NCH, abandoned, etc.  Manages, makes decisions and adjusts associate schedules, breaks, call out times, authorizes overtime/downtime as needed.  Ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient call handling.nWorks as initial point of contact with hotels and Sales Offices on lead issues/SFA/ESSIS system questions   nPromotes an effective and goal-oriented work team by ensuring all issues, concerns, ideas expressed by associates and customers are appropriately addressed in a timely manner and/or are communicated to Leadership as needed for additional follow up. nMust be a positive influence and be seen as a leader within the organization and work independently and effectively with little or no supervision. Recognizes and celebrates team successes. nAssists with projects as assigned and effectively evaluates the need to prioritize and modify projects, tasks, workload, processes, when additional factors are uncovered or introduced. nManages and records PTO and flex schedules for staff.  nHandles hourly associate payroll tracking, research errors, adding payroll/timeclock adjustments and corrections as needed in LMS payroll system.nAssists in evaluating need for and approval of overtime. nnReviews daily associate attendance records, addressing and communicating trends and counseling as needed per the attendance policy.nResponsible for monthly monitoring/auditing of associate performance within ESSIS and SFA data base systems to ensure timely and accurate sales activities are completed (Research, File Reviews, and Sales Calls). nAnalyzes daily associate workload and evaluates greatest departmental need for needed assistance.  Distributes workload as needed to ensure proper coverage.  nMonitors compliance to policies.nFacilitates Sales Coordinator/Admin Assistant team meetings bi-weekly.nEach Associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative to the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Job Skills/ Personal CompetenciesnKnowledge of Marriott brands, business strategies, pricing strategies and market demands.nCertification in Interaction ManagementnGroup business needs of each of Marriott's Brands.nMicrosoft Office, SFA, OSCAR, ESSIS, MARSHA, Isac on-line RFP sites.nProduct knowledge of hotels both global basis.nAbility to efficiently use spreadsheets.nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.nAbility to calculate figures and amounts.nKeyboarding proficiency.nEffectively navigate and utilize the Internet and Intranet.nHas in-depth knowledge of the extended stay/group segments.nPossesses professional maturity and strong business acumen. nIs able to work well in an independent environment. nDemonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. nIs able to manage group or interpersonal conflict situations effectively. nPossesses relationship building skills.nPossesses project management and time management skills.nProven Customer Service SkillsnAbility to motivate othersn        PlanningnMonitors/guides associate performance/behaviors to enhance business operation.nIdentifies sales/departmental opportunities in alignment with Marriott’s business needs and directives.nDemonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge. nn       CommunicationsnUses active listening to ensure effective interactions with others.nDevelops and delivers clear, evenly paced presentations and training sessions, using technology appropriately. nTailors message to appropriate audience.nProvides effective written and verbal communication n       Financial AcumenAssists in managing departmental budget through optimal associate performance.           NegotiationnGenerates process/policy changes based on internal/external customer requirements/feedback that enhance departmental functions, sales opportunities and business relationships.nNegotiates and leverages internal/external customer needs acting as a liaison between National Group Sales, properties, RSOs. n          Sales ProficiencynDemonstrates selling skills e.g. objectives, benefits, features.nIs an effective “closer.nExcellent selling skills and understanding of sales processes;
