CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Strategy Development:
Responsible for Heavy Equipment regional/sub-segment strategy development and execution in cooperation with regional sales, business development and marketing
Establishment of regional/sub-segment gap analysis and action plan for closure
Provide competitive intelligence and positioning guidance.
Market Development:
Global responsibility for value proposition development, deployment, best practice sharing and replication.
Global business development for specific customer opportunities as defined by Global Segment Director
Generalist business development support at times in global regions
Product Development & Management:
Establish new product development pipeline based on regional/sub-segment plans
Initiation of project transfer between regions to secure new business and/or close specific product line gaps
Use the Navigator/Stage Gate process to recommend and manage product development activity
Marketing Communication:
Collaborate with MarComm team regarding Heavy Equipment segment specific market materials
Partner with MarComm to establish list of relevant trade shows, define how Heavy Equipment segment will be present and align on objectives of attendance
Lead demand generations activities / design & deliver market & product training, both internally & externally

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION: (GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED)
Required: College Degree
Preferred: Major in Business, Communications or Chemistry
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum 7-10 Years in sales and/or marketing experience in B2B required 5 years coatings experience
Preferred: 5 years coating experience
Experience managing complex sales cycles- (6-12 Months, Approval Required, Multiple Application sites)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Preferred: Experience with salesforce.com
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION) 50% or more
