Business Development Specialist I This position focuses on educating clients on risk and insurance products, submitting and brokering business, presenting and closing opportunities and servicing accounts.  This role is fast-paced and an ideal fit for goal-oriented, hardworking individuals looking to make a difference.   Location for this position can be in Fort Washington, PA or 100% remote. Aon is in the business of better decisions At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.  As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.   Responsibilities: Meets personal and team sales targets as established focusing on small to mid-size accounts which are stable in nature within identified marketsContacts assigned prospects to sell multiple product units by nature of clientsReviews client’s business and financial data to ascertain whether products meet the client’s needs and circumstancesNegotiate terms with internal and external underwriting staffPrepares sales presentations, contracts and proposals subject to review by managerReceives periodic coaching from manager or more experienced professionalsKPIs/Metrics are transparently shared daily during departmental update meetings and displayed reader boards.  Skills and experience that will lead to success: excellent written and verbal skillsIs a type-A personality who enjoys serving customers and aims to exceed expectations with every interactionFocuses on consultative interactions with individuals representing small to mid-size firms Listens to our clientsWorks well in a team environmentEmbraces technology improvements to help you think outside of the box  Required: Experience working in a highly regulated industryInsurance sales, prospecting and relationship management experience     P&C license  Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 annually and have the chance to earn performance bonuses based on your individual and team performance.  This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
