The Director of Sales, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Sales (HWS) – Japan, Korea and Micronesia (JKM) will be responsible for a team who manage and grow the highest value and largest potential share of wallet accounts based in JKM for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., across a country, region, or vertical market. The role will look after the team to ensure accounts are appropriately managed on a local, national, International and global basis where relevant. You will be accountable for the performance of the team on selected accounts on a local, national and global basis. You will create and communicate the account strategies to drive increased market share and demonstrate value to both internal and external customers.
Accountable for the performance of a team generating targeted revenue for the key accounts they manage within the defined segments.
Manage a portfolio of accounts.
Proactively manage the team and relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders such as VPs, GMs, Commercial Directors and Hotel Managers.
Create and communicate the account and segment strategies to drive increased and unfair share.
Responsible for the implementation and execution of various projects that will drive unfair share.

What will I be doing?
As the The Director of Sales, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Sales (HWS) – Japan, Korea and Micronesia (JKM), you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Planning Activities
Develop key account management which increases Hilton’s market power and closer matches the way customers choose to buy.
Develop the right account plans and strategies focusing on shifting unfair share.
Repurpose and direct teams to ensure sales resources are mobilized to drive market share from key accounts with the highest potential.
Develop powerful personal relationships with decision makers and influencers within the top producing accounts.
Ensure measurement systems are in place and robust to track accurately the production of all targeted accounts.
Identify the key retention and acquisition accounts for each salesperson on annual basis.
Actively seek out new sources of business from existing accounts / new accounts.
Set team objectives that are aligned with the business.
Work with the relevant organizations and associations in this space to ensure that **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. achieves maximum gain and exposure.
Organizing Activities
Ensure all account managers in the team are trained and equipped to sell all brands locally, nationally and globally.
Ensure appropriate skills and product training is available to all sales team members in conjunction with global Hilton sales training programs and know who to refer sales leads to at other **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. hotels.
Ensure performance is reviewed on a regular basis, recognizing, and celebrating success, and refocusing effort where targets are missed.
Ensure all team members have clear and appropriate targets for revenue generated, appointments conducted, and accounts retained and acquired.
Implement measurement metrics to ensure effectiveness of teams. Plan and direct assignment of tasks ensuring optimum effectiveness and use of resources.
Agree and monitor annual sales incentive programs.
Directing Activities
Direct development and administration of team.
Provide direction to team members and establish work priorities to achieve management objectives for those accounts managed by incumbents.
Execute organizational directives and encourages achievement of goals through motivation, communication, and leadership.
Conduct effective management of third parties, identifies vendors and monitors costs and quality of service.
Review account development plans on a quarterly basis, updating records accordingly.
Implement account specific marketing initiatives to help drive the business.
Staffing Activities
Ensure 1:1’s are conducted with the team as appropriate to accomplish goals.
Guide talent management efforts (workforce and succession planning).
Support talent development and growth for top talent.
Contribute to company's progress on diversity and inclusion efforts (gender and ethnicity).
Controlling Activities
Direct and implement proper controls and systems to ensure team achieves objectives.
Translate goals into performance standards for departments and individuals.
Assess actual performance to ensure success and takes corrective actions.
Ensure team works effectively across cultures and markets.
Work within approved budgets and adjusts activities and expenses to ensure optimal financial results.
Develop and maintain Hilton best practice to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer account information is kept.
Ensure information relating to customer requirements, interests and marketing activities is kept up to date using relevant Hilton procedures.
Supportive Functions
Control annual trade shows / fairs activity and ROI. Coordinate / organize trade shows, road shows, sales.

Monitor and maintain a close, accessible relationship with Commercial Directors, Directors of Sales, General Managers, senior stakeholders of hotels and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
Support management of key accounts in assigned area.
Attend sales review and communication meeting as and when required.

Ability to recommend segmentation and targeting proposals and to assess marketing implications and aggressively manage to ensure profitability.
Able to travel up to 15% of the time.
Required Qualifications
BA / BS / Bachelor's Degree
Significant work experience in roles including management experience
Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings
Proficient in English and Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree / MS / MA / Master's Degree
Significant hospitality industry experience preferred in a sales role
In-depth knowledge of business sector
