Description
The Director, Client Management - Employer Group is responsible for leading a team who retains and grows membership within existing accounts and for directly managing business relationships with employer group clients, agents and consultants in a market.
Responsibilities
Leads an account management team responsible for retention and cross sales: developing proposals, negotiating and managing agreements.
Develops and oversees customer retention initiatives and activities for the team's assigned book of business.
Works closely with brokers and consultants to deliver superior service.
Guides team to investigate, analyze, and develop creative solutions to client specific problems related to systems, claims, networks, providers, eligibility, ID cards, billing and banking arrangements, etc.
Support the development and implementation of national and local strategies, programs or large-scale projects. Coordinate, support and work closely with market leadership to ensure full alignment with goals and objectives.
Works collaboratively with various functional areas including Sales, Underwriting, Finance, Account Installation, Network and Account Service to meet department objectives.
Clearly and consistently, track metrics and goals in order to influence improvement and positive results.
Ensure timely delivery of customer communication, contracts and reporting.
Identify and communicate the need for improvements in Humana's products and services.
Deep understanding of market dynamics: competition, influencers, trends, history.
Understands and communicates national and local strategies, goals, initiatives, process updates and operating principles.
Develop team in key areas such as presentation skills, relationship management, reporting, analytics, implementation and local market dynamics.
Oversees the identification of member education opportunities to drive maximum utilization of available resources, and directing clients on the use of available resources.
May oversee the education, engagement, and activation duties for client groups for all products and segments.
Leads Associate Client Executives, Client Executives and Senior Client Executives.
May lead a Wellness Consumer Engagement team.
Requirements:
8 years' consultative selling experience in Employee Benefits Sales or Account Management, of which 2 years managing a sales or account management team.
Demonstrated ability in building relationships with brokers, consultants, and employer groups.
Deep knowledge of the health insurance industry
Understanding of competitive landscape in local market.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate in a positive manner.
Bachelor's degree
Active life and health license
Travel: 20% of overnight travel (can be customized for each market)
