nJob Duties And Responsibilities nn Drive customer loyalty in order to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experiencen Manage business travel accounts to maximize business potentialn Negotiate group business, guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within assigned markets that meets or exceeds hotel revenue goalsn Ensure all pertinent aspects of solicitation, closing, and customer communications are complete and documented maintain existing accounts with active trace/follow up systemn Ensure accurate and complete use of the sales system per SOP including recording all bookings and lost businessn Identifies and solicits new accounts from telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries via email, phone, and in person interactionsn Develops, maintains, and prospects a Target List of accounts and communicates updates to DOSn Details BEOs with client for groups with meeting space and distributes with appropriate staff.n Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings when it is agreeable with the clientn Attends property specific receptions to generate leads and interact with customersn Organize and execute local area blitzesn Implement special promotions relating to sales segmentn Establishes relationships with local businesses and organizations and is an active member in local industry associationsn Builds relationships with competitors in like roles to keep apprised of trends in the market and industry, and supply changesn Consistently meet or exceed sales goals including predetermined revenue and sales activityn Other duties as assignednnEducation And Experiencenn High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferredn Prior sales experience preferrednnKnowledge, Skills And Abilitiesnn Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenuesn Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writingn Strong understanding of revenue management principlesn Ability to use reservation and revenue management systems to develop pricing and sales recommendationsn Experience with Delphi.fdc preferrednn Source: Hospitality Online,
