Job Description:
The position has primary responsibility for leading a team of origination and mid-marketing professionals focused on growing the profitability of Shell Energy Americas business in gas, power, and environmental products in the West Region of the United States.
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to operate as a leader within Sales & Origination and Shell Energy, supporting and contributing to the overall strategic direction.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the delivery of Gross Margin results attributed to the development and delivery of sales and origination opportunity in the North American market focused in the West across Wholesale and C&I customers
This position will focus on the growth of Shell Energy’s market share in North America thru participation in:
Enhancing the value proposition with creative and innovative offerings
Understanding the competition in the respective channel
Maintaining a balance between short- and long-term business opportunities and resourcing
Looking to secure alignment and learnings with other Shell and Shell Energy Americas channel businesses
Coordinate with New Energies business line to bring to market new sustainability solutions

Requirements:
The role will require significant knowledge of gas, power, and environmental products markets and an ability to grow the business leveraging the support of interdisciplinary teams (cross-function such as Finance, Legal, Credit, etc.).
Extensive experience of combined energy, origination, and /or mid-marketing and/or sales management experience
Proven development of an extensive customer network in the energy sector
Demonstrated track record of performance and leadership capability for developing delivery oriented sales and origination teams
The individual will need to have strong skills related to business development and market/industry knowledge which will allow staff to penetrate new market opportunities with new and innovative products and solutions
Demonstrate the ability to work across teams (customer channels and trading) and lines of business to continually monitor market and sector penetration
Bachelors degree in engineering, business or other relevant fields of study required
