Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity on our CHS Transportation and Logistics team for a District Manager, Logistics Solutions. This position will be responsible for the sales and marketing of CHS Logistics Solutions to customers in our Southern Minnesota and Wisconsin territory. You must be customer focused and have excellent negotiating and communication skills – both verbal and written – and be able to problem solve with creative solutions.
Responsibilities
Identify & grow sales of logistics solutions with new and existing customers
Partner with customers and develop strong customer relationships, delivering value and ensuring a best-in-class level of customer service
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and develop market expertise to understand and anticipate customer trends and needs
Develop targeted and strategic sales plans to build a sales pipeline for CHS and third-party customers
Work with CHS Logistics team to further develop suite of logistics solutions to meet changing customer needs
Understand changing market trends, market share, and potential acquisition opportunities
Build strong teamwork and relationships with external and internal customers and stakeholders, including serving as representative for community and government relations when needed.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or business-related field
5 years of sales and marketing experience
Ability to travel 50% of the time within the designated territory
Additional Qualifications
Experience with:
Selling transportation and logistics services
Selling concepts, products, and programs to a diverse customer base
Negotiating win-win business solutions
Building strong business relationships with customers
Using CRM applications
Knowledge of bulk transportation and logistics operations
Knowledge of agricultural markets
