Job Description:

The incumbent shall be responsible for managing hydro/HCU catalysts business in China, identifying and securing new sales as well as maintain incumbency business, through developing differentiated value propositions for customers.


Accountability for hydro/HCU catalysts sales growth in China. Develop and implement sales plans to achieve sales volume and profitability goals for hydro and HCU catalysts business
Preparing commercial proposals and managing sales bidding process to secure sales, both for retaining existing customers as well as winning new ones. Negotiates T&Cs with customers.
Develop account plan and unit opportunity win plans for the targeted accounts. Develop and maintain intimate customer relationship at all levels. Effectively manage customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction with Shell catalyst products and services.
Ensure full compliance on Shell Catalysts Global Sales Procedures and record management requirements. Manage sales pipeline and CRM database.
Provide input for planning of longer terms sales and growth by giving quality direction, input and market feedback to product development programs to maintain incumbency and be well positioned for winning new business.
Identify integrated, cross application opportunities: e.g. catalyst technology/licensing integrated solutions to enhance overall business profitability for Shell and improved value creation for customers.

Requirements:


Have as a minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent), with sufficient years of experience in refining industry, with good knowledge of refining in general (and hydroprocessing as preferred).
Strong interpersonal skills, with experience interfacing with customer at multiple level, up to most senior C-levels executives within customers’ organizations.
Proven record of successful customer engagement supporting long term sales, with ability to develop and execute strategic account plans
Ability to effectively coordinate internal stakeholders cross multiple functions including marketing, finance, supply chain, legal, and technical service resources.
Ability to work effectively with contract terms & conditions, ensuring legal and intellectual property is adhered to. Excellent Negotiator, and administrator of contracts.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
An effective team player as well as team coach.
Able to work independently and take ownership for assigned work.
Able to effectively manage sales agents, channels, and resellers.
