The Senior Director, Functional Sales Operations will manage a team that works directly with Sales, Sales Operations, Theatre Operations, Channel, Customer Experience, Functional teams and leadership to provide strategy and timely and accurate support and analytics.
This role will focus on supporting the Systems Engineering leaders, the Corporate Sales team (Inside Sales, Sales Development, and Renewals), as well as multiple product sales and solution organizations (collectively, Functional teams). This is a fast-paced and constantly evolving sales environment that requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and deliver on a deadline. This team possesses superb analytical skills and the ability to work as a team, establish and manage the appropriate KPIs.
Working with extended teams and outside resources to develop and drive business and market analytics is vittal. Previous experience working in sales operations leadership, subscription models, field inventory management, headcount planning and account management is strongly desired.
Role will report to VP, Worldwide Sales Operations. Key responsibilities include:
Partner with the Functional leadership teams to set strategic objectives and targets for the organizations during the annual planning cycle and assess performance relative to set objectives while ensuring alignment across the Functional leaders and Functional Sales Operations team.
Work directly with the Functional leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities by providing timely sales and product analytics including install base and pre-sales measurements while aligning activities to sales objectives
Optimize the Functional team’s tech stack, assess effectiveness, provide vendor management and ensure proper enablement of the Functional teams. Partner with IT and Systems team deliver enhancements aligned to strategic projects and initiatives
Proactively identify areas for improvement and build solutions to drive improved productivity for your customer teams. Working on problems of moderate to complex scope were analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Ensure alignment across cross-functional departments and develop workflows drive collaboration (Professional Services, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product)
Provides Functional team management with capacity, productivity and coverage analysis and delivers recommendations to ensure efficient deployment of resources
Tracks and reports on business performance and provides recommendations to capitalize on identified opportunities and/or rectify shortcomings. Executes on agreed upon actions.
Partners with Functional leadership to delivery business updates including weekly forecasts, quarterly sales reviews, and annual planning
Mentor, develop and manage a team of sales operations professionals while providing strategic direction, resources required for success, and a diverse and collaborative environment conducive to innovation and growth. Works with that team to develop an annual Plan For Success aligning to company objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
10 years experience in a Sales Operations, Finance or other analytical role
Bachelors degree
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent Excel, SFDC, and BI (Tableau) skills
Deep experience working with and managing cross-functional groups
Excellent communication skills
Must have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude with an internal strong sense of urgency
Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

The annual base salary range is: $144,000 - $230,000. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
