Profile

The Associate Sales Planning Manager is responsible for assisting with sales activation activities, execution of the business unit's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the team’s attainment of Poultry business goals. This role will work with other SS&P and Sales team members to ensure that the customer voice is embedded in internal decisions. They will provide analysis/insights on category initiatives, volume and share trends, and be a part of the S&OP demand process. This role will also support the SS&P Team across all poultry channels with reporting, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will be able to use data to assist in the development of category, channel and business driving programs and innovation strategies. This role will work with Sales team members to enhance CRM integrity, and provide reporting to measure CRM activities and field compliance. This position will report to the Director, Foodservice Poultry SS&P.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Lead sales strategy & planning for Commercial Chains and Ingredient Solutions within Foodservice Poultry
Be a voice for the field teams, customer & internal business partners
Assist with creating and evaluating investment alternatives using customer segmentation data
Assist with strategy development and executional sales elements of the assigned categories throughout the planning process
Create and provide reporting to monitor FS Poultry AOP performance
Manages ad-hoc SS&P Team requests to support across all channels within Foodservice
Analyze business results through various sales, industry, and category insight reports for the Poultry BU
Participate in sales planning process for the assigned channels and assist with product allocation data when necessary
Make recommendations on key inputs included in the S&OP process by providing customer/category intelligence
Assist in plan review and validation of forecasting for Poultry business unit
Create and refine reporting to measure KPI goals by product level and track sales performance
Provide inputs for consideration in the demand and financial forecast processes
Create and provide post-initiative recaps to SS&P leadership
Collaborate with field sales to assist in strategy execution and goal attainment
Coordinate and communicate relevant information used for forecasting and deploying inventory to supply planning partners
Key interactions include SS&P Team, Sr. Managers & Managers from BU’s, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, and Sales Team
Values, establishes, nurtures, and maintains productive working relationships with internal stakeholders

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer trade marketing, sales, marketing, sales analytics, revenue management or category management. Demonstrated financial acumen, with joint growth planning experience a plus; Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional teams
Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong influence and negotiation skills. Ability to articulate complex information in a concise manner, with proper context
Computer Skills: Intermediate-Advanced level for MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams; prior experience with Tyson CRM preferred
Special Skills: Excellent planning and project management skills; Syndicated Data experience; Strong Excel and data analysis skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Business acumen and ownership
