****Job Description Summary
The Sales-BDM manager should lead customer management and development of opportunities, interfacing, getting alignment and managing resources as needed, maintaining effective liaison and work stream with Regeneration and Recovery Business Development roles, as well as, Legal, Safety,Health & Environment, etc. Use the CRM system (Salesforce) to manage key accounts, projects, prospects and sales campaigns. As well as preparing sales forecasts. Inform management of all activities, opportunities, issues and project deadlines during monthly pipeline reviews
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Working face-to-face with customers, anticipating, understanding and defining their problems/needs and jointly identifying and developing sales strategies and environmental solutions with value for all parties.
Identification and development of a “sweet spot” situation in the O&M environmental solution deal where the proposed solution maximises benefit to both parties and addresses the technical need
Development of trust, credibility and familiarity with the customer
Effectively integrating Business Development and Sales roles
Lead role in initial verification of key parameters/feasibility, investment, safety, Quality
Demonstrate understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, and profit impact of decisions) and external economic factors in order to ensure proposal meets Veolia’s success criteria and the customers
Consistently demonstrate a commitment to the Health and Safety culture
Ensure the compliance of business development practices with the directives of Veolia and work with the utmost integrity
Qualifications Education / Experience / Background
Accountable, team-oriented professionals with ChE, ME, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Chemistry degrees (Masters or BS)
Experience ( 5 years) Sales (inside or Field). Experience in Operations (preferred) or R&D in Sulfuric acid, Refining, Fertiliser, Mining or Chemical industry,
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of sulfuric acid, and spent acid regeneration SAR
Knowledge of KOH recovery in HF alkylation
Key Account Management
Customer management and development
Broad knowledge of uses and markets for sulfuric acid
Ability to apply technical research competences to market analysis
Ability to translate technical solutions into complex economic business models to support the creation of value propositions to be presented to the clients
Continuous improvement of value propositions and identification of multiple value opportunities with existing and potential customers
Development of project Risk Management and Business Development Uncertainty reduction strategies
Strong technical and marketing research competences coupled with the ability to develop complex custom business models and then being able to present these in an articulate and credible fashion
Ability to create, maintain and support accounts providing high visibility at customer site
Seamless interface work between Business/Technical Development & Project Execution teams geared towards minimising risk in key project areas, e.g. CAPEX exposure
Effective acid plant design strategies and environmental solutions Integration
Familiarity of execution of project properly mapped within FEL framework
Travel is estimated 50-70%
