Job Description:
Shell Marine Account Manager Nordics
Oslo, Norway
If you are looking to develop your commercial skills in a truly global environment, have experience in Shipping or Offshore and enjoy rolling up your sleeves, we would like to hear from you!
Shell in Norway
Shell entered Norway in 1912 as a supplier of fuel to the fishing fleet in the northern part of the country. Since then we have been a part of everyday life of many Norwegians.
In Norway, Shell have made the impossible possible. We discovered the giant Troll field in 1979. To access these enormous resources of gas and oil, we built the largest structure ever moved by man – the Troll A platform. It still has decades left to produce natural gas for Europe, creating a huge value for Norway.
In 1993, Shell was first to produce oil north of the 62. latitude when Draugen commenced operations, opening a new petroleum province in Mid-Norway.
The Ormen Lange field again defined new standards for what is possible. We remotely operate wells 1,000 meters below the sea surface and export the gas via the Nyhamna processing plant to customers in the UK – who rely on us for more than 20% of their gas consumption.
Knarr was added to our operated portfolio when Shell combined with BG in 2016 and has exceeded expectations for production volumes and uptime.
Shell seeks to further develop our activity in Norway. We explore to find more energy on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We share Norway’s commitment to address climate change.
A/S Norske Shell is a partner in Norway’s’ full scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project as well as the world’s largest CCS test facility at Mongstad. We also actively chase opportunities in new energies.
In Shell we have over100 years of experience in the Marine industry. We serve over 10,000 vessels, ranging from large ocean-going tankers and containerships to smaller fishing vessels and barges. We are proud to say that we provide lubricants and associated services to the Marine industry in over 700 ports across 61 countries.
We want to help our customers make their voyages more efficient, predictable and cleaner, using the right lubricant whatever their ship, engine or fuel. We have a long heritage of working closely with OEM partners and customers globally to ensure that our lubricants not just comply with industry standards, but also meet our customers’ needs.
We help navigate the energy transition, supplying and continually further developing a diverse portfolio of marine lubricants that meet our customers’ needs - whatever fuel option they choose today and in the future.
The position as Shell Marine Account Manager Nordics is a new role to help support our growing business and will be part of our Shell Marine Nordics team, based in Oslo. This team takes care of our Nordics customers, who typically have their key decision making in the Nordics, but have vessels operating all over the world.
On a day-to-day basis this role works closely with colleagues all over the world in Sales, Technical, Supply Chain and Operations. Furthermore, this role also has its own customer portfolio with opportunities to grow.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their commercial experience in a commercial, hands-on and truly global environment.
