We are looking for a Food & Beverage Business Development Manager, passionate about the Manchester bar and restaurant scene, to grow revenue through increasing sales within events, and corporate and private bookings, for both food and beverage in Cloud 23 and Podium bar and restaurant.
You will have experience in sales within the bar and restaurant industry with a proven track record in managing your own workload and taking responsibility for achieving sales targets.
You will be self-motivated and driven by the success that comes from proactively generating sales through increasing pre-booked business and events, including, but not limited to, the following actions:
Pro-actively research new clients and opportunities to promote Cloud 23 and Podium Restaurant to drive sales
Secure new and existing client meetings and show rounds and attend local networking events.
Proactively contribute to the on-site Commercial Focus Meetings, working with the Food and Beverage team to develop actions plans to deliver each concept within the local market
Ensure all sales and event enquiries are dealt with efficiently and in line with Hilton standards
Develop a database of clients interested in new Cloud 23 and Podium menus and activations, with whom to network to generate additional sales
Liaise with the marketing team to ensure that all products are promoted in full within the local market and across all social media platforms
We expect the role to be 40% proactive, (16 hours) 30% marketing and 30% reactive sales (12 hours each)

Positive attitude and good communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
Maintain awareness of the current trends of the Manchester food and beverage market scene, plus knowledge to predict future trends
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
A strong commercial awareness, to understand the needs of the business, and create effective strategies to influence future performance
Excellent grooming standards
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale
