Job Description:
Job Purpose
To lead, manage, develop, and motivate a sales team managing Distributors for the Automotive business. Deliver top line growth by selling Shell CVPs to preferred segments through a network of selected, committed, structured and profitable Distributors, in line with Shell HSSE policy and Shell General Business Principles.
Accountabilities
Managing a team of Sales Team Leaders & Account Managers to achieve the Volume, Net Proceeds, C3 and C5 targets for the Automotive Lubricants business for India.
Grow Premium, promote Services business, develop more of Shell’s branded presence through channel partners.
Sales force competency development through a continuous process of assessment, review, feedback & coaching.
Working Capital Management with accurate Sales forecasting, good credit control as focus areas and deliver business plan as per the targets. Take business decisions that reduces risk to business and is profitable to the organization.
Maintain and grow good working relationships and business associations with the customers and Business associates.
Track the Net Proceeds movement along with Cost Movements, Competitor activity & Brand aspirations to be ahead of Pricing plan for the business.
Drive the business through SPANCOP process, supporting the team for conversions and ensuring increase in market penetration and market share.
Ensure Sales 1st process and Sales Force Tool implementation are fully embedded in the team and consistently met by self and fully adhered to by the team.
Effectively manage direct costs within the business and ensure competitive cost structure for business conduct
Partner with the Marketing / RTM / Technical / LSC / Global Stakeholders teams to build, support, develop and implement various initiatives undertaken by these teams for achieving the business growth strategy.
Utilize all available resources effectively for business growth and manage interface with support functions for the business.
Ensure business / market share growth over long term in line with Group expectations and strategy.
Adhering to Shell General Business Principles in all transactions and conduct of business with external parties; demonstrate and inculcate this behavior within the team members internally.
Demonstrating commitment to and be responsible for HSSE and the company commitment to sustainable development; inculcating safety conscious behavior, with external parties and internally within the team; meeting own safety targets as per the performance contract.

Play the key role in the change management initiatives for the organization to support the Streamline projects; ensuring Streamline compliant offers and correct data, ensuring necessary training is carried out with the sales team.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate is expected to have the following attributes: Authentic leadership capabilities, ability to engage with senior leaders and Stakeholders internally and externally. A true Sales team lead expert with a proven track record to Coach, develop and successfully grow a business. Highly commercial mindset with understanding of the E2E Value chain and Lubricants Business with track record of delivering strong results through influencing, offering competitive insights and strong relationships. Good interpersonal communication skills with strong personal ambition to grow and develop the business, succeed in the marketplace. Leadership skills – demonstrated significant initiative, tenacity, and leadership in prior job.
